Working at an accounting firm meant constant travel and operating in spaces without designated desks. Client visits often offered minimal desk space—sometimes just small tables barely big enough for a laptop or two. I couldn’t always use my portable monitor because there simply wasn’t room.

Back at the central office, desks were available on a first-come, first-served basis, and they were often cramped. Associates started reserving meeting rooms with friends just to secure extra room for work. Watching my peers, I noticed them stacking lunch boxes, binders, or books behind their laptop screens to prop up portable monitors. And I found myself straining, turning my head back and forth between screens, feeling the toll on my neck. Coming from a software development background, I was used to the productivity boost of multiple screens. Switching constantly between windows felt like a setback.

When I started searching for a better solution, I expected to find something ready-made. I combed through popular and international sites but found nothing that met my needs. So, I began sketching my own design, intending initially to build a basic version for myself. But as my colleagues saw my plans, they began asking for one, too. This was the spark that drove me to create a professional version that I could be proud of, something people would genuinely want to use.

That was the beginning of a six-year journey. I had no prior knowledge of product design, manufacturing, or running a business. But night after night, I read, researched, and learned everything I needed. I went through seven prototypes, countless CAD revisions, and tested multiple materials to achieve the right balance of durability, lightness, and elegance. I wanted something compact, stylish, and above all, practical—a product that wouldn’t lose parts, could withstand the daily grind, and made users feel proud to use it.
